David graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1987. He worked at the Australian Taxation Office for 13 years, the last 5 years as a Manager in various sections of the Investigation Section of the Tax Office.
He was admitted as a member of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants on the 5th November 1986 and left the Taxation Office in June of 1989. He commenced in Public Practice and became a Registered Tax Agent at the same time.
David is the partner who is responsible for the large number of Self Managed Super funds that are clients of the practice. David is passionate about superannuation and has a deep knowledge in this specialist area and enjoys finding solutions which deliver outstanding results for clients in their accumulation and pension phases.
As a business owner himself, David understands the needs of individual, small to large businesses and super funds.
Married to Vicki, father of 3 adult children and pop to 2 boys David is a life member of the Trigg Island Surf Life Saving club and was past president of the club. David also coaches in the Junior section of the club.
Paul graduated from the Western Australia Institute of Technology graduation with a Bachelor of Business degree in 1986.
Paul worked at the Australian Taxation Office for 13 years including 2 years in the National Office. He worked in various areas including assessing, enquiring, audit and was involved in International Taxation matters. The last 6 years in the Australian Taxation Office were spent as a Manager in the Business Audit area.
Paul was admitted as a member of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants in 1988. He left the tax Office in June 1994 to commence work in the Public Practice. On leaving the Tax Office Paul became a registered Tax Agent.
Paul takes pride in being able to deliver value to our clients by going the extra mile to ensure his work is of the highest standard and is continuously looking for opportunities to assist with the growth of their business.
Married to Cathy and father of 3 adult children, Paul’s interests also involve being an active member of the Trigg Island Surf Life Saving Club. Another keen interest of Paul is competing in Triathlons where he has, in a short amount of time, successfully achieved a position in the top 10 for his division.
Jamie graduated from Churchlands College for Advanced Education and graduated with a Bachelor of Business in 1986.
Jamie worked at the Australia Taxation Office for 11 years. He worked as an Auditor and Manager in the Primary Audit Section.
Admitted as a member of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants in 1997 Jamie left the Taxation office in February in 1998 to commence work in the practice.
Jamie provides tax and business strategy advice to a wide range of clients in all types of industries, trades and professions and is committed to the sustainable development of client businesses.
Married to Jeanetta and father of 2 adult children, Jamies’ other interests include watching the footy, golfing and going to the gym.
Matt graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Finance in 2006.
After graduating University, Matt worked at Rio Tinto in the Iron Ore division for 5 years, spending his time in the financial reporting and management accounting departments.
He left Rio Tinto to join Motteram Bowie and Ham in June 2011 to pursue a career in public practice, specialising in tax accounting. He was admitted as a member of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants on the 9th August 2011.
Matt has quickly become a valued member of the team. His eagerness to learn and personalised approach is an indication of the drive he has to becoming a successful practicing accountant.
Matt is also a member of the Trigg Island Surf Life Saving club as an athlete and coach. He is a frequent competitor in state and national competitions. Other interests including training, surfing and catching up with friends.
Sheryll graduated from the University of Southern Queensland with a Master of Professional Accounting degree in 2001.
She joined the Motteram Bowie and Ham team in 2004 and quickly become a valuable asset to our firm. Her expertise in computer knowledge and programmes alike has made her a valuable team member.
With Handibiz software and the newest introduction of Banklink software to our firm, Sheryll has become the advisor to our clients on the running and functioning of the software. Her expertise has been a great help to all clients with a friendly, simple approach to fixing any software problem.
Married with 2 teenagers her interests include watching her children play sports and getting together with friends.
Nerelle joined the Motteram Bowie and Ham team in 2003. Nerelle is responsible for our Self Managed Superannuation Fund clients and has extensive experience with BGL Simple Fund software.
Nerelle is the mother of 2 teenage children and her other interests include going to concerts and catching up with friends.
